Situated in the foothills below the Manti-La Sal Mountains and next to the Manti-La Sal National Forest in central Utah, this 25-acre resort has a commanding view of the rugged mountains, overlooks a picturesque valley below, and is surrounded by some of most breathtaking scenery in the entire state.     

 

A huge outside pool and a variety of activities provide exceptional recreational opportunities in an ideal outdoor setting.  At this elevation of 6,800 feet, the mountain air is clear and crisp, inviting everyone outside for fun summertime activities.     

 

The surrounding area combines scenic byways and a multitude of parks and recreational areas to create a spectacular interweaving of sights and activities. The Nebo Loop Scenic Byway on Forest Road 15 at Payson climbs over 9,000 feet through the Wasatch Forest, with towering mountains and an abundance of scenic overlooks to inspire visitors.     Area lakes and streams offer some of the best trout fishing anywhere and are the destinations of choice for water enthusiasts. State park attractions include: Scofield State Park, Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry (32 miles South of Price), The Museum of the San Rafael in Castle Dale.     

 

A short distance away in Provo, Brigham Young University hosts the Museum of Art, Earth Science Museum, and Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum. Provo is also the starting point for the Provo Canyon Scenic Byway (Highway 189) past the wonderful “double-cataract” Bridal Veil Falls.     

 

Favorite local events include the Ute Stampede Rodeo in Nephi (July), the Mormon Miracle Pageant in Manti (July), The Freedom Festival in Provo (July), Pioneer Day in Provo (July), the Old Capital Arts Festival at Territorial Statehouse State Park (September), and the Scofield Triathlon (July).

Amenities: The resort has a clubhouse, equipped pavilion, heated outdoor swimming pool, picnic area, horseshoes, basketball, volleyball, movies, and arcade game room. Dump station.

Directions: From I-15 south of Salt Lake City, take the Manti/Price Exit (Hwy. 6/89) and follow Hwy. 89 to Mt. Pleasant. Turn east on 700 South / Hawk Blvd. (look for North Sanpete HS marquee) in Mt. Pleasant and drive 4 miles to resort on the left.
