Nine Mile Canyon public lands host remarkably well-preserved Native American art and archaeology. The Pariette Wetlands is a wildlife oasis in a harsh environment. The historic Jarvie Property near Vernal provides an intriguing view of frontier life at the turn of the 19th century. The Utah Field House of Natural History takes visitors back through time, incorporating life-size statues of dinosaurs in an extraordinary garden and providing diverse archeological and geological insights. Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, named for the fantastic colors of the sun-drenched red rocks, immerses visitors in nature and history.
