Lakeside RV Resort
Virginia

Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Gaston, Lakeside Resort offers members and guests some of the finest fresh-water activities on the East Coast. Swimming, boating, water skiing, jet skiing, and fishing are some of the most popular activities for outdoor enthusiasts. Here, visitors can rent a paddle boat, hang out at the beach house snack bar, play in the game room, or explore the lush natural beauty surrounding the resort.
Lake Gaston, which begins at the upstream Kerr Dam in Virginia, flows more than 34 miles, offering 350 miles of sparkling shoreline that straddles two states. It is renowned for its fishing, and anglers can tell “fish stories” about hooking black crappie, chain pickerel, largemouth bass, walleye, channel catfish, blue catfish, bluegill, and yellow perch.
For those who want to take a day off the water, Lake Gaston Golf Course features an 18-hole course just outside of Gasbury. Tee off in this well-managed facility with Bermuda fairways and bent-grass greens. An on-site pro shop provides any equipment golfers need to enjoy the game.
Within a short jaunt from Lakeside Resort, visitors can tour the South Hill Railroad Station Museum and Model Railroad or have some fast-paced fun at a local go-cart track. Historic Richmond is located less than a two-hour drive northeast of the resort.
The Virginia state capitol provides a culturally rich day trip for all members of the family with area tours, music, theaters, museums, galleries, vineyards, and restaurants. For thrills and spills, local amusement parks cater to all ages; a wealth of attractions point out the historical significance of this diverse city.
