Alabama is the 30th largest state in the United States of America. It is situated in the southeastern part of the lower 48 states, between Georgia and Mississippi. Alabama has a coastline on the Gulf of Mexico. While the coast is smaller than those of Florida or Mississippi, it does have a large, pristine sugar-white beach that is a popular vacation spot: Gulf Shores. Birmingham -way down, in Alabam'- is the most populous city of the state and a nice city to spend some time. It is also a good starting point for seeing the sights around it.
Believe it or not, Alabama has covered bridges. If you're a fan of the old wooden, one lane covered crossings, you might want to visit some of our 12 bridges still standing. Some are still in use, even! Alabama is a great agricultural state. World 66 Travel Guide |
