Resort Profile

Water is the basis for much of Ohio’s recreation, and plenty of it can be found on or near the Pymatuning Valley Resort. Right next door to the resort is the largest waterslide in northeastern Ohio and Pennsylvania. Pymatuning Lake and a state beach are easily accessible and within a mile of the resort, and Lake Erie is only 25 miles to the north.

Noted for good fishing, Pymatuning Lake, one of the largest man-made lakes in Pennsylvania, is 16 miles long with 77 miles of shoreline and covers 16,000 acres. There are several free boating ramps, and the state beach on the lake is within a mile of the resort. Erieview Park at Geneva-on-the-Lake, just 30 minutes north, offers a public beach on Lake Erie, rides, an arcade, and lots of nightly entertainment. While at Geneva-on-the Lake, you can also enjoy waterslides, golf, the Old Firehouse Winery, and much more in this resort town that has been popular with vacationers since 1869. Lake boating, fishing, and hunting on nearby state game land provides plenty of adult recreation.

Whether you want to see Lake Erie or are a spectator sports enthusiast, the one-hour drive to Cleveland will be well worth your time. Professional baseball, hockey, football, basketball and soccer, plus polo, rugby, auto racing, thoroughbred racing, and harness races are all available for sports fans.
