Resort Profile

The resort is located in the high desert country of beautiful southeastern Arizona, at an elevation of 3,500 feet. Visitors can enjoy the many varieties of animal life and plant life that are in the area.

Kartchner Caverns, situated within a short distance of the resort, provides the underground wonders of a live cave. Reservations are required. South on Highway 80, visitors can get a taste of the Old West by visiting the famous frontier town of Tombstone. Here, young and old can explore Boot Hill Cemetery, Bird Cage Theater, Courthouse State Historic Park, and the OK Corral, where the Earp and Clanton clans met face-to-face for their notorious shoot out.

The mining community of Bisbee and the Mexico border town of Douglas is situated further south. Ghost towns dot the area, just waiting to be “rediscovered.” The Dragoon Mountains, home of Cochise’s stronghold, offers an interesting historic site. These lookouts are where Cochise sought refuge from the U.S. Cavalry during the years of the Indian wars. Nearby Tucson features shopping opportunities as well as a multitude of sporting and cultural events. Here, you can take in the breathtaking mountain scenery, visit one of the local 18-hole golf courses, or visit Nogales, Mexico, only an hour away.

Additional nearby attractions include: an excursion train, the Ramsey Canyon Preserve, a hummingbird sanctuary, and the Ft. Huachuca Buffalo Soldier Museum.
